We boarded the plane and you wouldn’t believe the comparison between the one we just got off of to this one! We had LCD screen pop-ups in front of us and we were able to watch a movie while they served us our vegetarian meal. There were radios in our seat with several different channels, there was music for just about any one. Even though I wasn’t able to get a window seat, I had enough entertainment to keep me occupied.

It took us about three hours to get to San Pedro Sula from Houston Texas. We arrived at twelve fifteen. It was like I had stepped into another time period when I went into the bathroom. All the utilities looked as if they had been installed back in the forties. They probably hadn’t done since then. After going through customs I had realized that I had lost my ticket for a reclaim item. It was too late because the plane had already gone. I felt really bad because I think I may have caused it to be lost.

We put all of our luggage on a cart and rolled it out into the lobby. Mr. Steve found Mrs. Willis and we piled our luggage outside the airport by their truck.

It’s a two and a half hour trip out to the mission and they only had one truck. They decided to put the girls in a hotel while we guys went on to the mission. Boy…

We waited by the luggage, (Roger, Staphon, and I) while Mr. Willis took the girls and Mr. Steve to the hotel where they were to spend the night. We sat our luggage in a construction area, so we had to move our stuff a couple of times to get their equipment by. Finely Mr.Willis showed up and we loaded the luggage into the truck. There wasn’t enough room for all of us in the cab, so I sat on the luggage. Roger let me use his CD player. These people drive crazy around here! Mr. Willis was weaving in and out of traffic, we almost got into an accident a couple of times.

One thing I noticed was that the people are really courteous, I wave and they wave back, I smile and they smile back. I ran across a couple of cute girls in Santa Barbara and I waved. They smiled and giggled. I guess they don’t see very many American guys like me very much.

We pulled onto a narrow road that led through a small villiage. As we slowed down for the seed bumbs, some of the towns people came running up to our window and begain to talk to Mr. Willis. Mr. Wills didn't know a whole lot of Spanish, but he got the general idea. Being in the back I was oblivious to what was going on. Mr. Willis quickly backed into an alley-way bumbing a car behind us. The man in the car came out fuming and since I was in the back I was the first person he saw. I was looking at him wondering what he was going to do when his expression changed when he faced me. I know I wasn't that scary so I turned to see waht it was. In front of us a truck load of guys with AK-47 machine guns stopped and started jumping out of the truck and yelling. Immediantly I started praying because the outcome looked grim. AS soon as the opportunty arose, Mr. Wills pulled out in front of them and headed of in the other direction. I thank God that he had his ever watching hand over us.
